Used in the manufacture of household furnishings for centuries, Oak wood is a great material for interior door construction. Dense and durable, Oak is extremely versatile. At Door Supplies Online, we offer an extensive range of interior Oak doors. Oak wood is stylish, striking and timeless, and our doors reflect this. Opt for rustic charm with a traditional panel door, or go for sophisticated simplicity with a clear glazed door. We stock a variety of interior Oak doors with glass, Oak veneer interior doors, and interior Oak french doors.
Finished and unfinished doors available
We sell both finished and unfinished Oak internal doors. In a rush? Our finished Oak wood doors can be fitted immediately after purchase. For a more personalised look, we recommend purchasing an unfinished door. Our unfinished doors can be painted or stained to suit your individual style. We offer single, double and bi-fold doors. The Oak we use is engineered to ensure increased durability. This process involves bonding multiple layers of wood together with a layer of Oak on top.
Our Oak interior doors are available in a range of different sizes. We sell both single and double engineered Oak wood doors. Check out our internal Oak bifold doors. Our Oak glazed internal doors are great for making a room appear larger and increasing light flow. We also stock sliding doors. The XL Joinery Oak Easi-Slide System, for example, is perfect for creating an airy, open-plan feel without the need for extensive renovation. Many of our doors are also available as Oak fire doors. In accordance with fire safety regulations, these doors are slightly thicker (45mm). We sell both unfinished and prefinished Oak doors.
Why buy an Oak wood door?
Oak doors, although slightly more expensive than doors made from other species of wood, are a great investment. Stronger than other types of hardwood, Oak is very low maintenance, rich in colour, and has an attractive grain. The grain in each piece of Oak wood is unique, so you can be sure that your door is truly one of a kind. Oak trees are most commonly found in the Northern Hemisphere, in Europe, North America and parts of Asia. The Oak interior doors we stock are made from quality European and American Oak. Some of the collection is crafted by our team of in-house experts. All the Oak used in the products we sell is ethically sourced.

Our unfinished Oak interior doors are great for adding an individual flair to your property. To ensure longevity, we recommend treating them by applying a protective oil prior to fitting. You can also paint your door with oil-based paint.
Before treating your door, cover the area with a dust sheet. Dispense the oil into a paint tray and use a paintbrush to apply a thin layer of oil to the surface of the door. Wipe away the excess. When painting, ensure that you follow the grain of the wood. Leave the layer of paint to dry, and denib the door. Denibbing is the process of removing imperfections after each coat of oil.
Make sure to use a finishing pad with a lower grit, and don't apply too much pressure. Apply the second coat of oil. When dry, repeat the process on the other side of the door. We recommend treating your Oak interior door every few years.
We offer a range of Oak veneer internal doors. Our Oak doors have the same appearance as solid Oak doors, but are more cost-effective, making them great for those on a budget! Made popular during the Second World War when wood was less readily available, innovative veneer doors feature two thin layers of Oak, which are fitted on either side of a thicker piece of wood, such as plywood. Veneer doors are easier to customise than their solid Oak counterparts and are not prone to splits along the wood grain.
We recommend Osmo Door Oil, which we sell in-store. Ideal for veneered doors, Osmo Door Oil features a clear satin finish. It can be used for interior wooden doors, frames and joinery. This oil takes around 24 hours to dry and promotes resistance to water and dirt. It enhances the wood’s natural character and preserves colour. No sanding is required for future applications.
