Engineered oak is the most versatile and our largest range. Solid oak is the most traditional and can be refinished the most times. SPC and LVT vinyl is fully waterproof. Laminate is the most affordable and the most scratch-resistant. Our flooring by type page compares them in detail.

Layout changes a room as much as colour does. Straight plank is the traditional choice and the most forgiving to fit. Herringbone is the classic zigzag parquet and our most popular pattern. Chevron meets in a continuous point and suits longer rooms. Versailles panels are the most decorative floor we sell.
Patterned floors need a 15% allowance for cuts rather than the usual 10%, and are generally bonded down rather than floated.

Different rooms make different demands. Kitchens combine spills, traffic and usually underfloor heating. Bathrooms need a waterproof floor rather than a water-resistant one. Living rooms impose almost no constraints, which is where a patterned floor earns its keep. Hallways and conservatories deal with heavy traffic and temperature swings respectively.
We plant a tree for every square metre of flooring ordered. Wood is a renewable material when it is managed properly, and we would rather put more back than we take.
How much flooring will you need?
Measure the length and width of the room in metres and multiply them. Add an allowance for cuts, then divide by the coverage of one pack and round up, since flooring is supplied in full packs.

What type of flooring should I choose?
Start with the room. Underfloor heating points to engineered oak, vinyl or laminate. A wet room points to vinyl. Heavy traffic points to a thicker wear layer. Once the practical question is settled, choose on looks.
How much flooring do I need?
Floor area, plus 10% for plank layouts or 15% for patterned ones, divided by the pack coverage and rounded up. The calculator handles it on every product page.
Are samples really free?
Yes, including delivery, with no obligation to order.
How long does delivery take?
Next-day on orders placed before 12pm. Delivery is free on orders over £500 and kerbside or driveway in all cases.
What warranty do you offer?
A 25-year structural warranty on every floor we sell. Fitting outside the manufacturer's instructions can affect it, so read the guidance supplied with your floor.
Can I fit flooring myself?
Click-system floors are designed for competent DIY fitting. Tongue and groove, solid oak and patterned floors are usually bonded down and better suited to an experienced fitter. The joining method is listed on every product page.
What else do I need besides the floor?
Underlay unless it is pre-attached, beading around the perimeter, threshold profiles at doorways, stair nosing for any steps, and adhesive if the floor is bonded down.
Can I order more later if I run short?
You can, but shade varies between production batches so a later order may not match. Order the full quantity in one go.
