FAQs
Solid core LPD doors are manufactured using engineered wood parts. Engineered wood is formed by combining a plywood core with a thin veneer of timber.
Engineered wood is less costly than solid hardwood, and has a higher resistance to fluctuations in temperature and humidity. Easier to paint and maintain, engineered wood is more durable than hardwood without sacrificing aesthetic appeal. Engineered wooden doors are also arguably more sustainable than solid hardwood doors. Unlike laminate, engineered wood features real wood veneer.
Many of the doors featured in this collection are available as fire doors. To qualify as being fire-safe, a door must have a thickness of 44/45 mm. Standard doors, in comparison, usually have a thickness of 35/40 mm. We stock glazed fire doors. The glass used in the manufacture of these doors is fire safe.
Our collection of LPD internal doors varies significantly in price. Our cheapest door is the LPD White Primed Flush, which costs just £28.20. The most expensive door in this collection costs £1,210.33 and is the LPD Oak Lincoln W8 Room Divider Set. Cost depends on door size and material.
